The fries were golden and the chicken was super crispy. We also got the fried chicken dinner which came with your choice of two sides - we got green beans and fries. We got the corned beef hash with our eggs over easy, home fries, and rye toast (pre-buttered). The clam chowder was probably the best I’ve ever eaten in Boston, as there was some sort of thyme/rosemary hint in the soup that added some extra nuance. Portions are huge, so you may considering sharing. There’s one single occupant restroom by the kitchen. The staff will put your name down on a list along with your party size. Came here around noon and the line was long, but somehow we only waited for about 15 minutes. It’s a bit out of the way from touristy spots, so you know that it really is a local gem. That being said, I do want to try their mushroom burger eventually! It's definitely worth trying tasty burger at least once in your life, but debatable if you want to be a regular. I personally loved it, but wished there was a bigger straw or a spoon to grab all the chocolate chips. We were the only people in the restaurant, but it took awhile for us to flag down the servers.Īlso got the green monster milkshake, which is really just a mint chocolate chip shake. The other star came from how long it took to close out. ![]() I took off one star just because the portion size was a bit on the small size with the fries and the burger. I wish the burger was a little hotter for a sit-down place, but the flavor was there. Loved how they wrapped each burger individually, but if you don't open it right away, your bun will get soggy. The burger size is decent for $7, but if you make it a meal with a milkshake and some fries/onion rings, it'll run you closer to $12-13. I got the Rise 'N Shine while my partner got The Big Tasty. First time trying Tasty Burger and I've got it say, it's better than a Red Robin's! ![]()
